| Jewel & Esk Valley College Halls of Residence (Tourist Board listed) are located in a pleasant rural setting just 7km from Princes Street (city centre), close to Edinburgh's seaside suburb of Portobello. A very good bus service runs to/from the city centre (it takes only 20/25 minutes - see 'Directions to Hostel'). As well as the city centre, Holyrood Park, Arthur's Seat and the new Scottish Parliament building are a short bus ride away. Edinburgh's port district of Leith is just 6km away. Once a busy port, Leith is now one of the city's fashionable leisure districts, with a wide selection of modern and traditional bars, and in particular, many seafood restaurants. Our student bedrooms (4m x 2.5m) are basically decorated and furnished. Each room contains: - Comfortable beds - A wardrobe/hanging rail - Small table and chair - Vanity unit with washbasin - Illuminated mirror and shaving point. |
