The Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel has it all. Location, friendly staff, comfortable beds, affordable prices, an international and lively atmosphere and did I mention a superb location. Situated in a 18th century building in the heart of the historic Old Town on Edinburgh�s funkiest Street, our hostel is located 50 metres from the Royal Mile and less than 2 minute�s walk from the Train station and airport shuttle bus. This means we�re perfectly positioned in the middle of Edinburgh�s many attractions and wild nightlife.

We have bright, clean and spacious dorm rooms and a few private rooms, which are located in our main building, and some have magnificent views down Cockburn Street or over the Edinburgh skyline. We also have a large number of other private rooms housed in self-catering apartments in two separate buildings on the same street. These tend to be a bit quieter and are quite popular with couples or small groups

The Hostel has a 24-hour reception and there is no curfew so you are free to explore the city until all hours in the morning. We also have a large self-catering kitchen, pool room, chill out room with Sky TV. If you don�t feel like cooking there is caf�/bar attached to the Hostel called the Southern Cross Caf�. Come here for a relaxing drink, or to do some emailing on the Internet. We have an extensive menu and a wide range of drinks to offer. All Hostel guests also receive a 15% discount off their food bill.
